FOOTBALL – Johan Cruyff, one of the greatest footballers and visionaries of the beautiful game has passed away at the age of 68. From Ajax to Barcelona he revolutionised the game, always focussing on attacking football.

CYCLING – On 4 July, the Tour de France will start in Utrecht. Excluding France, Netherlands are the country with most Tour starts – six, including 2015. The following are various stats about the Tour de France and its participants this year.
FOOTBALL – Germany are no longer the favourites to lift the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Their chance has decreased to around 20% due to their tough route to the semifinals, where they will probably meet new favourites United States who have a 28% chance of claiming the title.
FOOTBALL: As you can see in the Wave, Bayern München flew out of the gates and scored directly. After that first goal, Barcelona took over until the closing minutes of the first half. In the second half, Barcelona looked comfortable with Bayern having the initiative The Spanish side regained the momentum in the very last minutes, but overall Bayern were more dominant.
FOOTBALL – The wave shows a very dominant Bayern München all over the match. From around the 70′ minute, Porto try to force something, which immediately led to their only goal in the match.

FOOTBALL – FC Barcelona won by 3-1. Barcelona were very dominant in the first half hour of the match. After that, Paris Saint-Germain took over but failed to score in their dominant part of the match. When Barcelona reclaimed the momentum, they also scored directly. CYCLING – In 1997, Frédéric Guesdon was the last French winner in France’s only Monument race Paris – Roubaix. Since Guesdon’s victory, Paris – Roubaix has been won by riders from six other countries; Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and Australia. FOOTBALL – In Reals biggest victory since 1967 (the 9-1 over Granada), Cristiano Ronaldo scored five times, a personal record. Last season, he scored 31 league goals. He is now already on 36 goals in La Liga.
Geraint Thomas (GBR), Peter Sagan (SVK) and John Degenkolb (GER) hope to give their countries a rare win in the Ronde van Vlaanderen on Sunday 5 April.
Thomas can follow in the footsteps of Tommy Simpson who won this race in 1961, while Degenkolb has Steffen Wesemann’s win in 2004 as example. For Sagan, a win would be Slovakia’s first-ever win in any of the five Monument races, Milano – Sanremo, Ronde van Vlaanderen, Paris – Roubaix, Liège – Bastogne – Liège and Il Lombardia.
