FOOTBALL – Germany are no longer the favourites to lift the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Their chance has decreased to around 20% due to their tough route to the semifinals, where they will probably meet new favourites United States who have a 28% chance of claiming the title.

THE WAVE: Bayern München – FC Barcelona

FOOTBALL: As you can see in the Wave, Bayern München flew out of the gates and scored directly. After that first goal, Barcelona took over until the closing minutes of the first half. In the second half, Barcelona looked comfortable with Bayern having the initiative  The Spanish side regained the momentum in the very last minutes, but overall Bayern were more dominant.

THE WAVE: Paris Saint-Germain v FC Barcelona

FOOTBALL – FC Barcelona won by 3-1. Barcelona were very dominant in the first half hour of the match. After that, Paris Saint-Germain took over but failed to score in their dominant part of the match. When Barcelona reclaimed the momentum, they also scored directly. Paris – Roubaix: France eyeing home win

CYCLING – In 1997, Frédéric Guesdon was the last French winner in France’s only Monument race Paris – Roubaix. Since Guesdon’s victory, Paris – Roubaix has been won by riders from six other countries; Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and Australia. Thomas, Sagan, Degenkolb aim for rare Monument win

Geraint Thomas (GBR), Peter Sagan (SVK) and John Degenkolb (GER) hope to give their countries a rare win in the Ronde van Vlaanderen on Sunday 5 April.

Thomas can follow in the footsteps of Tommy Simpson who won this race in 1961, while Degenkolb has Steffen Wesemann’s win in 2004 as example. For Sagan, a win would be Slovakia’s first-ever win in any of the five Monument races, Milano – Sanremo, Ronde van Vlaanderen, Paris – Roubaix, Liège – Bastogne – Liège and Il Lombardia.
