RECORD: Nürnberg suffer record eighth drop in Bundesliga
FOOTBALL – A defeat at Schalke on Saturday sealed 1. FC Nürnberg’s fate in the Bundesliga. ‘Der Club’ join Eintracht Braunschweig in a decent to the second tier of German league football. It was a BL record eighth relegation for Nürnberg. Since the Bundesliga started, Arminia Bielefeld had also been relegated seven times. Hamburger SV, the only ever present side in the Bundesliga (1963-2014) will play a promotion/relegation playoff against the team that will finish third in the 2. Bundesliga.
REVIEW: Guardiola suffers biggest ever defeat as a coach
FOOTBALL – The 3-0 defeat by Bayern against Borussia Dortmund was the biggest ever in the coaching career of Pep Guardiola (all competitions). Bayern also suffered their biggest home defeat since 20 September 2008, when they lost 5-2 against Werder Bremen. They lost successive Bundesliga matches for the first time since November 2011, when they alo lost at home against Dortmund.

FOOTBALL – Bayern München suffered their first keague defeat of the 2013/2014 Bundesliga season, ending their bid to become the first club to register an undefeated campaign in the Bundesliga (51 seasons in the history of the competition). It also snapped Bayern’s record streaks of undefeated matches in the top flight (53) and most successive league matches scoring at least once (65).
REVIEW: Bayern first to claim title in March
FOOTBALL – Bayern München defeated Hertha BSC 3-1 to claim their 23rd Bundesliga title. No other team has more than five. Bayern became the first ever team to win the Bundesliga title in March and became the first side to claim the title with seven matches to spare in leagues in England, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain and Italy.

RECORD: Bayern München extend Bundesliga unbeaten streak to 50
FOOTBALL – Bayern München defeated Bayer Leverkusen 2-1, extending their Bundesliga record unbeaten streak to 50. Bayern became the third side from one of Europe’s top six leagues to have stayed unbeaten for at least 50 consecutive league matches. AC Milan once reached 58 in Serie A and FC Porto even racked up three such streaks (of 55, 53 and 53) in the Portuguese top flight.
