REVIEW: Federer claims seventh title in Dubai
TENNIS – Roger Federer saw off Novak Djokovic on Saturday, earning his seventh career tournament title in Dubai. Dubai joined Wimbledon and Halle as Federer’s favourite tournaments. He has won each of these on seven occasions. The Federer – Djokovic rivalry now comprises of 37 singles matches. In Open era, only Djokovic and Nadal have squared off more often. Federer claimed his 20th victory over Djokovic. The only player he has beaten more often is Andy Roddick (21 times).
EURO CLUB INDEX: All-Spanish tie takes Last 16 headlines
FOOTBALL – According to the Euro Club Index the all-Spanish tie between Villarreal CF and titleholders Sevilla FC was the highest profile matchup that resulted from today’s Europa League Last 16 draw. Of the 16 teams still in contention, Sevilla is the highest ranked (14th) team in the Euro Club Index. The index claims that Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk v Ajax is the lowest profile tie on offer.

FOOTBALL – Liverpool lost their unblemished status in penalty shootouts in European cup competitions after being knocked out of the Europa League on Thursday.

AS Monaco defeated Arsenal (3-1) at the Emirates Stadium in the Champions League on Wednesday. The Wave shows two teams that were evenly matched. In the end both teams were searching for a goal and both teams saw their effort resulting in a goal.
THE WAVE: Manchester City v FC Barcelona
FOOTBALL – FC Barcelona defeated Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium in the Champions League on Tuesday. The wave shows a very effective Barcelona in the first half with two goals after 30 minutes. Man City showed nothing in the first half after the opening 10 minutes. The first half hour of the second half was all City’s, but they converted only once. After their goal, they hardly pressed anymore and were lucky Barcelona did not score a third goal. PREVIEW: North by far youngest to earn 50th Test cap in rugby
RUGBY – Wales have named George North in their starting XV to face France in the teams’ Six Nations Championship encounter in Paris on Saturday. For North, it will be his 50 Test appearance, making him by far the youngest player in Test history to reach the half century. He beats the former mark held by Australia’s Joe Roff by more than a year.
